This white privilege rhetoric that the mainstream media and Hollywood elites are pushing is out of control. The notion that someone is successful – or not – because of the color of their skin is lunacy, especially when it comes to a profession that requires a specific talent. White privilege does not make a person more talented or qualified for a job.
Actress Rosanna Arquette has joined the ‘white privileged’ Hollywood elite and apologized for being born white, saying she’s ashamed of the privilege she believes her skin brings.
Rosanna, 59, is the daughter of film producer Lewis Arquette and known primarily for her work in Desperately Seeking Susan, Pulp Fiction, and Crash. She is the sister of David and Patricia, who are also actors from the Arquette family, which has deep roots in Hollywood.
It’s not clear exactly why out of the blue the award-winning actress, whose net worth is estimated at about $9 million, announced her shame for being white, but she did not stop there, apparently she is ashamed of being American as well.
On Monday, Arquette posted a disturbing photo of herself kneeling in front of American flags with the captioned tweet saying, “I’ll never stand for the flag again.”

Arquette was roundly criticized for her statement, with several followers pointing out that she is welcome to rid herself of any pesky wealth by divvying it out to black or brown people. Some suggested she could change how she identifies racially, others said therapy might help, and a few recommended she simply sober up.
“She does not feel ashamed for being white. Is just virtue signaling to show how progressive she is,” said one user.

Others were more direct with their disapproval of her sentiment. “I’m ashamed of you too…” said one. Still others encouraged her to seek professional help.

“I’m sad that you feel your skin color or any immutable characteristic is something that should bring you shame. All Americans are privileged, which is something to both appreciate and leverage. Focus on doing good things- that’s what makes you who and what you are.”

Arquette is no stranger to making inflammatory comments. Back in March, the actress declared “we are living under a sick dictatorship.” She added, “we now have a government that has normalized racism rape ,mass killings from Guns Pedophilia ,homophobia the destruction of our environment .this government has normalized stupidity.”
Arquette will appear in the upcoming TV show Ratched alongside Vincent D’Onofrio, Don Cheadle, Sharon Stone, and Sarah Paulson – it will be interesting to see how the public responds to her statements.
